Joe Dean recorded his second win in a row on The Eagle Tour at Trentham Park after his remarkable 63 at Coxmoor last week..
Dean recorded a 4 under par 67 to win by 2 shots from Eddie Vernon, with Alastair Kinnaird a further shot behind.
During his round, Dean compiled 7 birdies, including 4 in a row from the 10th hole which meant the 3 bogies on his card could not take victory away from him.
Vernon recovered from a double bogey at the very first hole, recording 3 birdies in his last 8 holes, arguably the hardest section of the course to sneak second place.
Kinnaird put together a solid round, getting to 3 under par after 14 holes. Dropped shots at the 15th and 16th saw Alastair drop into 3rd place.
Andrew Willey, George Woolgar and local favourite Jason Timmis shared 4th place with level par 71’s.
The Eagle Tour would like to thank all the players who competed.
We would also like to pay special thanks to the venue, Trentham Park. John Farmer and his staff did a fantastic job, presenting a first class course and catering for everyone in both the pro shop and the clubhouse. We hope we can return soon.
